A little background.

I’m a guy that was born in ’57, now happily married with children and grand children. Have had what I consider a pretty normal life really. Travelled extensively, built a road, a house, a farm, and a company. Lived about 3 lives already and working on the 4th.

I view technology as a means to an end not an end in itself. It helps to make us humans even smarter by shouldering the mundane tasks and adding to our already vast memory capacity. Computers are the great ‘indexer’ of life. It means we can find things that we would have forgotten about and reuse them thereby making us even greater.

I’ve been working computers for fun since 1995 and for profit since 2001.  I’ve worked and learned from the best in I.T. while looking after the computers for a school board and for a longer time (8 years), for a hospital.  I’ve managed to become quite knowledgeable about Windows, Mac, Linux and tons of software including web development. I ran my own I.T. company for quite a few years but not anymore. I wouldn’t trade it for anything.  I’m having a blast.

Oh and I’ve always liked something the late Anthony Bourdain said “My body is not a temple. It’s an amusement park.”
